Food Dudes Scheme announced winner of the Chief Medical Officer’s Public Health Awards 2010

In a nutshell: The Food Dudes scheme, developed by psychologists at the University of Bangor, has been awarded the gold medal at this year’s Public Health Awards for the work which has been done in Wolverhampon, where the scheme has worked to combat child obesity.  The scheme has been accessed by 5,000 children in Wolverhampton, with fruit consumption increasing by 54% and vegetable consumption increasing by 48%.
