Text4Diet: A randomized controlled study using text messaging for weight loss behaviors

In a nutshell: This RCT examined the usefulness of a daily text
messaging weight loss intervention, Text4Diet, and found that although text messaging had no effect upon weight loss, adherence to the intervention was associated with improved weight-related behaviours and outcomes. The authors concluded that text messaging could be a useful adjunct to weight loss treatments.
